One of the most popular attractions on Oahu’s north shore, for tourists and Hawaii residents alike is Waimea Falls park. It’s got a great botanical garden, a couple of miles of trails, and of course the famous falls.
As you can see in the picture, you can even take a dip in the pool at the bottom of the falls to cool off after the 2 mile hike through the valley.
Visiting Waimea falls is certainly a great way to spend an afternoon. And if you bring your camera along, it’s quite possible you’ll come home with quite a few photo’s worthy of being the Hawaii Picture of the Day.
Aloha,
Todd

1Not to change the subject, but can I steal photos from you for the next post I write about Hawaii? By the way, Waimea Falls looks a lot like Wailua Falls on Kauai.

2Hi RT,
I’m still trying to figure out a good way to share higher resolution versions of my pictures … either for people who want to make prints, and/or for use on websites. In the short term, if you (or anybody else reading this) needs a Hawaii picture, just shoot me a note, and I’ll see what I can do to help.
