KC-135 Tanker
Today's Hawaii Picture of the Day is of a different kind of bird; an Air Force KC-135. Honolulu International Airport and Hickam Air Force Base share the same runways, and the approach path for both takes the aircraft right over Iroquois Point ...
The downside is obvious; the noise can sometimes make it hard to hear the TV. But, being an Air Force brat, I'm pretty much used to it. And on the plus side, it really is pretty cool to watch all the different planes fly over ... and of course to sit outside and take pictures of them.
