Hawaii Picture of the Day – Plumeria

Published by aloha at 9:26 pm under Pictures

The Plumeria is a popular flower here in Hawaii. They grow pretty much everywhere. They come in a variety of colors ... the most prevalent seem to be white, yellow and pink. Plumeria are often used to make homemade lies here in Hawaii. Next time you're at the airport, I bet you'll see a few in yours.

This is the seconds installment the Alohateam.com "Picture of the Day" ... a two fold effort to provide additional content for this blog, as well as encouraging me to take my camera with me more often when I go out. If you have any picture requests, feel free to shoot me a note through the contact form.

The best thing about plumeria is their fragrance, in a large lei, with a small wahine!

    Hi Mike,

Thanks. Lol, speaking of small wahine, the main reason I know anything about this flower and leis is because my daughters went on a kick a couple of years ago collecting flowers from all over the neighborhood, then stringing them together.
