Best Pizza in Hawaii

By todd • on February 2, 2008

I know that’s kind of a subjective statement. Everybody has their favorite kind of Pizza … and their favorite places to get it from. There are many good pizza places here in Hawaii. But, by far our favorite place to get a slice here in Ewa Beach is Boston’s Pizza.

They have a wide variety of pizza, subs, strombolli, wings, salads and even desserts.

The pies are quite big too. Two large pizza’s easily feed our family of six … usually with left overs.

I’m not sure if this applies to all the Boston’s Pizza places here in Hawaii, but at the Ewa Beach store, they always give us coupons ever time we order.

That one on the bottom left, 2 Two Topping Pizzas fro $26.99 saves us about $14 over what rings up on the register. Be sure to tell them you have a coupon when you call to order.

So, what’s your favorite pizza place here on Oahu?

Well, I’ve never gotten around to trying Boston’s yet. Papa John’s is usually our first choice. There’s one near Pearlridge which is closer to where I stay…I think I’ll order from them soon.

Oh yea … Papa John’s is our next favorite pizza place. Before I went to Iraq last year, we used to hit them all the time.

It doesn’t look like our Boston Pizza, a chain that has 2 outlets in Red Deer. I like Papa John’s better myself.

My mum and dad were actually really disappointed with the pizzas they got in America. Nothing came close to the ones you get in Italy. Oh, my tummy feels empty now ;)

I love pizza…any pizza. I’m not very particular. I always wanted to visit hawaii.

We are using the same template but I can’t figure out how to make the tabs at the very top of the page work. Could you give me a hint on how to change them. please!!

@Tim,

Yes, I’m not sure if this is the same Boston’s Pizza that they have in the mainland.

@April - I’m not sure any American pizza compares to the real stuff from Italy. Although, I suspect many of us wouldn’t recognize “real” pizza … I remember it being Very flavorful crust, with pretty much just a dollop of sauce and cheese right in the middle … mmmmm, good memories.

@Marsha - Yes, that top menu bar can be a bit tricky. You want to go into theme editor, and find a file called main-nav.php. It’s got a link to some instructions at the top … but basically, if you follow just follow the example you see for the Home and About pages, you should be ok. You do need to know the ID# of the page you want to add. The easiest way to get this is to go to Manage/Pages and find the corresponding number in the far left column.

Hope this helps,
Todd

One of my favorite memories of Hawaii is Casa Mia’s pizza in Ewa Beach. This was durning the 70’s and 80’s. When we returned to the island in 1980, we were met at the airport by our sponser with our car. The first thing we did was drive out to our old church, our old house at Iroquois Point and to Casa Mia’s for pizza………………we were home. I love Hawaii, the Aloha Spirit. I lived in Iroquois Point 7 years and miss it today. I am excited I found your blog, I look forward to your stories and pictures.
